Mrs. Nicholas grew up in Rockford, IL. As a little girl, she always loved music! She learned to play the piano starting at age 4, and the cello starting in 7th grade. But her true love was singing. Mrs. Nicholas attended Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL, where she received her degree in Music Education with a major in voice. At IWU, Mrs. Nicholas had the opportunity to perform in voice recitals and operas. After moving to Colorado with her husband (who is also a musician), she began teaching at Kemp Elementary School. Mrs. Nicholas just recently completed her Master's Degree in Music Education with Kodály emphasis from Colorado State University and graduated in December of 2015.
Mrs. Nicholas is a proud mommy of two amazing children: Kason (age 7) and Gwendolyn (age 4). The Nicholas family enjoys camping, hiking, exploring museums, traveling, and of course...making music together! Mrs. Nicholas and her husband are co-directors of an Early Childhood Music program at Trinity United Methodist Church and Kason and Gwendolyn love going to music class every week!
